[Gluster-users] glusterfs on 32 bit - experiences?

We are also running GlusterFS 3.0.5 on Amazon EC2.
One server and up to 10 clients have been tested. All instances are small
32-bit.

Some observations:

   1. Under heavy load (our cluster hosts web-apps, heavy load means having
   browser issuing lots of HTTP requests, which incurs some glusterfs write
   access), glusterfsd spikes up CPU
   2. We run subversion over glusterfs, svn import, svn ci a large tree is 5
   to 6 times as slow as copying a tree; and copying a tree between 2 GlusterFS
   directories is 30 times as slow as between 2 native filesystem directories
   3. We tried to run with 3 servers, that slows write performance by 10x
   4. We've observed coherency issue (GlusterFS Bug 926)

Overall, we are able to chug along but the issues above are forcing us to
look at alternatives.
