--- Doc Text *updated* ---
Cause: When Gluster is accessed via SMB from a Mac client, filehandles were incorrectly closed. This effect appears when the recommended vfs_glusterfs module is used in the configuration.

Consequence: The samba service on the server would hang and the user would need to reconnect.

Fix: Samba has been fixed to correctly close the filehandles and the right layer when using the vfs_glusterfs module.

Result: Files can be accessed without any interruptions.
