Most probably because RHEL 8 doesn't ship samba-vfs-glusterfs.

Once we started off this initiative but did not make much progress
other than creating "samba" dis-git repository under CentOS-Storage-
SIG(~4 years back). We will try to look into its possibilities moving
forward.
