[Gluster-users] adding a node

Hi All,

I am note the alone guy having problem with the addition of a node to an 
existing distributed stripped or replicated volume.
And  I never read a real solution.

My configuration is the following :

  * four node with a gvHome stripped 2 volume ;
  * first I probe the new node ans its OK ;
  * then I start to add the node:/brick to the four other and get the
    answer that I have to add a multiple of the striped so 4 other node.
    But I have only one ;
  * So I try to make the addition from the new node. If I list the
    volume on the new node it recognize the stripped volume. So I stop
    the volume on the four and add :  gluster volume add-brick gvHome
    stripe 2  boogy1:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 boogy2:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 
    boogy3:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 boogy4:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 the answer is
    the following :

[root at moody ~]# gluster volume add-brick gvHome stripe 2 
boogy1:/mnt/gvHome/brick1  boogy2:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 
boogy3:/mnt/gvHome/brick1  boogy4:/mnt/gvHome/brick1
Changing the 'stripe count' of the volume is not a supported feature. In 
some cases it may result in data loss on the volume. Also there may be 
issues with regular filesystem operations on the volume after the 
change. Do you really want to continue with 'stripe' count option ?  (y/n) y
volume add-brick: failed: Staging failed on boogy2. Error: Brick: 
boogy2:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 not available. Brick may be containing or be 
contained by an existing brick
Staging failed on boogy3. Error: Brick: boogy3:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 not 
available. Brick may be containing or be contained by an existing brick
Staging failed on boogy1. Error: Brick: boogy1:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 not 
available. Brick may be containing or be contained by an existing brick
Staging failed on 138.102.172.94. Error: Brick: 
boogy4:/mnt/gvHome/brick1 not available. Brick may be containing or be 
contained by an existing brick


So how to add node one by one ?
