It's starting to really annoy me, and I want to throw things at
it. :/

Does anyone have the time/interest to login to this VM and get it
working? (and then hopefully setup btrfs :>, or hand it to Venky)

Happy to provide the access to do this to anyone willing.  (that
includes Community members!) :)
