[Gluster-users] Samba "posix locking" = yes or no for Gluster?

Whether or not this is related to my particular catastrophe yesterday,
there's inconsitent advice on whether Samba should have posix locking on or
off when Gluster is involved. On the one hand, on is advised:

On the other, there's specific advice out there to turn it off, and reports
of better behavior afterwards:
