[Gluster-devel] Updated plan for 3.7.0

Hi All,

Thanks to all our efforts, we are inching closer towards 3.7.0. Here is 
the updated release schedule for 3.7.0:

1. Patch merge deadline and beta2 tagging - 1600 UTC 05/09

2. Final test window starts at 1600 UTC 05/09

3. If no significant problems are observed in 2., I will go ahead with 
GA of 3.7.0.

As far as regression tests are concerned, we have made progress in terms 
of fixing some frequently seen problems. We still seem to have failing 
test units due to code bugs primarily in the following areas:

a> quota + nfs.

b> erasure coding.

In addition, there are certain tests which seem to fail only in our 
regression slaves and those are being investigated by rendering a few 
slave VMs offline at the moment.

Failing tests which are not fixed by 1. will be considered as blockers 
for 3.7.1. We will also hold merging of other patches in these 
components till the offending test units are fixed. This will ensure 
that no other feature / bug fix gets into such components till the 
failing tests are sorted out. Issues open beyond 1600 UTC on 05/09 will 
be documented as known issues in release notes for 3.7.0.
