We means Snapshot team and RHSC team, which needs this for better synchronization.
Apart from this we had discussion with Geo-rep team and NFS team.

Personally I also prefer to keep it fixed and not configurable. Which will
reduce lot of communication and synchronization issues. 

As you suggested we can have the volume name start with "_". Vijay also
had a similar suggestion.

We have not finalized the name yet, may be something like _gf_meta_volume_.
