Indeed. The problem is that RHEL doesn't have the fuse module enabled
by default. A cleaner option would be to use dkms, which takes care of
recompiling the module for you each time you boot a new kernel. I have
packages of fuse, dkms and dkms-fuse here, which I use on my RHEL5
systems :
