A few suggestions before getting into that:
1. add a random write test in addition to random read, to see impact there.
2. turn off xlators other than stat-prefetch. that is the only one that adds
value for this workload, IIRC, and that too only on the randread test.
3. what is the iodepth/#jobs? try increasing that no.
