Thank Yevgen and Shyam!

In that case, we have to figure out which patch fixed this, and why it was not
backported to other maintained branches.

Note that 3.8 is End-Of-Life, and will not receive any further updates. Please
check the release schedule and consider moving to a newer version as soon as
possible.
