Description of problem:
the test case fails with brick mux volumes spuriously

How reproducible:
80%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install the master
2.prove -rfv tests/basic/tier/new-tier-cmds.t
3.

Actual results:

not ok 19 Got "0" instead of "1", LINENUM:86
