As per Nigel -
"so what we can do is create a new job which applies your patch and then runs
tests only in the EC folder. That shouldn't take too much time. I'll make sure
the nightly pipeline is merged soon so we'll have one place to track all this."

I think this will serve our purpose and test the feature with our EC test cases
at least.
