The brick log files don't have logs for the same time period as when the mount
happened, so they haven't been as helpful.

The client logs you provided, don't have any logs about portmap, changing port
or client-handshake. One of the logs even has a no route to host error,
"[2016-10-28 13:13:43.159065] E [socket.c:2292:socket_connect_finish]
0-netshare-client-0: connection to 10.1.20.1:24007 failed (No route to host)"
along with a portmap error.

This leads me to believe that there was some sort of an issue with the network
at that point in time. Could it be a firewall issue?

Because of this the client wasn't connected to the bricks, leading to the
failures you saw.

Brick logs from around '2016-10-28 13:13:43.159065' can help check if the
bricks are to blame.
