            Bug ID: 1326230
           Summary: Kerberize the GlusterFS protocols
           Product: GlusterFS
           Version: mainline
         Component: protocol
          Keywords: FutureFeature
          Assignee: csaba at redhat.com
          Reporter: ndevos at redhat.com
                CC: bugs at gluster.org
            Blocks: 1317278 (glusterfs-3.8.0)

The GlusterFS protocols are based on ONC/SUNRPC and are very similar to NFS.
Gluster can benefit from stronge authentication and even encryption on a per
user base.

NFS can use GSSAPI (Generic Security Services API), we would like to see this
in the GlusterFS protocols as well.
