Did IOs during attach tier and found it passing.
Check with both NFS and fuse mount. 
1)created an ec vol
2)mounted it
3)initiated a copy of files with many dir summing upto 24GB
4)while copy going on attached tier
5)tier attach passed and no io error seen
6)all files got copied.

hence moving to fixed, verified/

NOte: there are other issues while atach tier which are tracked seperately like
for eg:1275751 - Data Tiering:File create terminates with "Input/output error"
as split brain is observed
