Tested with RHGS 3.1 nightly ( glusterfs-3.7.1-1.el6rhs ) with the following
steps,

1. Created a 2x2 distributed-replicate volume with each RHGS node having 2
bricks
2. Started the volume and fuse mounted the volume
3. Created more than 50 files
4. Added 2 more bricks to make this volume as 3X2 distributed-replicate
5. Performed rebalance operation on the volume

Observation - Rebalance completed successfully and there were no errors
