>From the customer in SFDC 01285044 - "To answer your questions, we only notice
this issue when the directory remains with  root:root ownership is it naturally
stops the application from completing its storing of data.  Having said this on
further investigation  I have seen the "Operation not permitted" errors
surrounding the setattr operation several times without it causing an issue to
our application.  I'm assuming here then that glusterfs has righted it self in
some way.

To resolve, all we have done is manually change the permissions on the affected
directory, there is no restart on the application side."

"Apologies,forgot to add.   Yes, the application runs on two gluster clients
and are continuously writing to these bricks.  It is possible and highly likely
that more than one process across the two nodes may try and create the same
directory."
