On CentOS Stream 8:
powertools is not enabled by default.

Hence, glusterfs server should be installed with the help of below modified
command:
# dnf --enablerepo=centos-gluster9-test,powertools install glusterfs-server

Please update the same in
https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/Storage/gluster-Quickstart.

On CentOS Stream 9:

As it is still a pre release version, dnf and yum commands complain about
unsigned OS:

root at d81afdcb251b /]# dnf install centos-release-gluster UNSIGNED CentOS
Stream 9 BaseOS [UNSIGNED CentOS Stream 9 BaseOS 0.0 B/s | 0 B 00:00 Errors
during downloading metadata for repository 'baseos': - Curl error (6):
Couldn't resolve host name for
https://composes.stream.centos.org/development/latest-CentOS-Stream/compose/BaseOS/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml
[getaddrinfo() thread failed to start] Error: Failed to download metadata
for repo 'baseos': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download
repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried [root at d81afdcb251b /]
I think we can test once the stable release is out for CentOS Stream 9.

Regards,
Shwetha
