Without knowing the true nature of the problem you wish to solve -- if you are looking to take a few embedded machines and build some kind of replicated distributed storage with gluster - the use of raw flash I don't quite understand -- you could use ramdisks on the targets and get speed, reliability and avoid component fatigue.<br>

unfortunately we "live" in an embedded world with no parts to do the wear leveling, so we were forced to use the UBI-FS.<br>
