[Gluster-users] Moving a physical disk from one machine to another

Apologies if this is obvious but I’ve searched the documentation and mailing list and can’t see an answer.

One of my servers which hosts a gluster brick has died beyond possible saving. The physical disk of the brick itself is good and I’d like not to lose anything.

Can I just add it as a brick on another server? Unfortunately, I am not able to host the disk on a machine with the same IP address/host name. I suppose I could just add a new empty disk and then copy the data from the old disk but I’d prefer to do things as easily as possible.

Scott
