[Gluster-users] Regarding GlusterFS dependency on Linux Kernel Versions

Hi Jomy,

 From my point of view, GlusterFS resides in userspace and doesn't have 
a hard-coded kernel module. Thus it would not have a tight dependency on 
a particular kernel version.

For example, Gluster 3.7 works on both CentOS 7 (Linux 3.10) and Fedora 
23 (Linux 4.4).

But still, a clearer comment from RedHat experts is admirable.
