Looks like your clang version is making glusterfs work on OSX even without
suppressing optimization flags as expected it would seem like a compiler issue.

Anyways moving on - can you open a bug for this? this is an interesting issue
perhaps `mac-compat` could be a real culprit here.

I will take a look at it this week.
