Yes, that is a known issue at the moment. GlusterFS is not yet 
supporting UDP mount protocol. If you are ok with testing, can you try 
http://review.gluster.com/3337 on top of glusterfs-3.3.0beta4 tarball 
(or on git release-3.3 branch)
