[Gluster-users] How to get a gluster native client to re-read its volfile without restarting glusterd

Hi.
In GlusterFS 3.1.1, short of restarting the glusterd daemon, is there any way to get a client to re-read it's volfile? I tried sending it a HUP, but while it recognized the signal, it didn't take that action.
I have discovered a number of clients that weren't restarted after a change in configuration from Distribute to Replicated-Distribute, and I believe they may be the source of very frustratingly slow (up to 1 hour) file system reads on first access from a client to a GlusterFS mount point, using the Gluster native client.
Thanks,
