We haven't seen this issue.Have you used glusterfs-volgen command to create volume files? 
Please provide us the volume file along with log files.

Hi all:

I'm trying to mount a GlusterFS volume on openSUSE 11.3 x86_64 and it
crashed with:

*** buffer overflow detected ***: glusterfs terminated

in the logs.  This is a replicated volume across 5 machines with cluster/afr.

Just wondering if anybody has experienced this before.  I am planning
to file a bug report with all the information.

Kernel version: 2.6.34-12-desktop
GlusterFS version: 3.0.5
glibc version: 2.11.2-2.4
