[Gluster-users] nufa performance same as normal dht

Im testing the nufa translator and notice that it doesnt have any
affect in terms of performance

im currently testing 1 node cluster wich is server + client

The test :
on normal h.d

time dd if=/dev/zero of=file bs=10240 count=1000
results
102400000 bytes (102 MB) copied, 1.02154 seconds, 100 MB/s

on nufa mounted

volume cluster
 type cluster/nufa
 option lookup-unhashed no
 option local-volume-name `hostname`
 subvolumes storage1
end-volume

time dd if=/dev/zero of=file bs=10240 count=1000
results
10240000 bytes (10 MB) copied, 3.78787 seconds, 2.7 MB/s
(its ok seens its on vmware image so i dont expect good results here)

on none nufa mounted

volume cluster
 type cluster/distribute
 option lookup-unhashed yes
 subvolumes storage1
end-volume

time dd if=/dev/zero of=file bs=10240 count=1000
results
10240000 bytes (10 MB) copied, 3.61982 seconds, 2.8 MB/s

about the same even faster :) the none nufa is faster but its just a
small divercity wich happen all the time , buttom line is that its the
same
no perfomance gain when using nufa .
