Yes, I think so also,  But my system support the extended attributes of file, And my test is ok about the xattr function.
But I cannot get any xattr information from the file under  glusterfs-mountpoint,  the glusterfs system didn't write the xattr information to this file.
why?
(how to setup the IRC (username, pwd, port), I try to setup the IRC of glusterfs, but fails, please tell the IRC information:
   username, pwd, port, etc.)
