This is a rather difficult process considering that a lot of things have
changed between 3.0 and now.
The recommended approach would be to copy over data from the old volume
(running 3.0) to a new volume (with 3.10) if you can.

Do you have more details on the volume files used with 3.0? Have you
figured out the right volume type that you would need to use with "volume
create"?
