There's a patch. http://review.gluster.org/#/c/14779/ if I'm not mistaken.

If that passes review I'll respin all the 3.8.0 packages with it while
we wait for 3.8.1.

And if 3.7.12 gets released without it, I'll add it to the 3.7.12
package builds too.
