[Gluster-users] metadata performance

Hello,

My test configuration: two machines in AFR, client on one of them.
100MBit ethernet link.

# time find /mnt/gluster/ | wc
 219867  219867 11548172

real	5m2.822s

219867/(5*60+2) = 728 files per second. On ext3 (the same files):

# time find /mnt/disk2/ | wc
 219867  219867 11108438

real	0m1.545s

146000 files per second (200 times faster). Do you have any suggestions
how to improve metadata performance?
