As far as I know, we use make -j for all compilation. See:
https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs-patch-acceptance-tests/blob/master/build.sh#L40

The only two places where we may not be doing this is the clang job and the
lcov job. They're both run once nightly, so it doesn't really affect them as
much.
