[Gluster-devel] Review help please (metrics)

I am keen to get this in sooner so other translators can start consuming it
and expose their internal metrics.

Also soon we will provide hooks to tendrl project with bare minimum tool to
dump metrics to monitoring system, so it should be helpful to identify the
issues faster.
