Hey All,
We made a commitment to fix all regression tests before doing anything
else for 3.7.1 and beyond. Now is the time to honor the commitment. I
request all maintainers to stop merging patches till the following tests
are fixed and removed from is_bad_test() in run-tests.sh:
./tests/basic/volume-snapshot-clone.t
./tests/basic/uss.t
./tests/bugs/snapshot/bug-1112559.t
./tests/basic/afr/entry-self-heal.t
./tests/bugs/replicate/bug-976800.t
./tests/bugs/replicate/bug-1015990.t
./tests/bugs/quota/bug-1038598.t
./tests/basic/afr/arbiter.t
./tests/basic/afr/read-subvol-entry.t
./tests/basic/ec/quota.t
./tests/bugs/distribute/bug-1161156.t
/tests/basic/tier/tier.t
./tests/basic/ec/ec-4-1.t
./tests/basic/ec/ec.t
./tests/basic/quota-nfs.t
./tests/basic/ec/ec-6-2.t
./tests/basic/ec/ec-3-1.t
./tests/basic/ec/ec-5-1.t
./tests/basic/ec/ec-12-4.t
./tests/bugs/quota/bug-1035576.t
./tests/basic/uss.t
./tests/bugs/glusterfs/bug-867253.t
./tests/bugs/glusterd/bug-974007.t
./tests/basic/volume-snapshot-clone.t
./tests/basic/quota-anon-fd-nfs.t
./tests/bugs/snapshot/bug-1112559.t
./tests/bugs/disperse/bug-1187474.t
./tests/basic/afr/sparse-file-self-heal.t
./tests/basic/afr/data-self-heal.t
./tests/features/glupy.t
Few more things to note:
- If you notice tests apart from these failing regularly, please add
them to is_bad_test() in run-tests.sh.
- If you intend to fix one or more tests, please add your name against
such tests in the "Tests to be fixed for removing patch acceptance
moratorium"section of the spurious failures etherpad [1] so that we can
co-ordinate better.
- If a test does not fail locally in your setup even after multiple
tries, please raise a request on gluster-infra mailing list for access
to a jenkins slave where the problem is more readily reproducible.
I will send daily status updates from Monday (05/18) about this so that
we are clear about where we are and what needs to be done to remove this
moratorium. Appreciate your help in having a clean set of regression
tests going forward!
Thanks,
Vijay
