Thanks to all maintainers who responded here. I did not find any
blockers for branching and hence release-3.7 has been branched with the
following patch being the divergence point from master:

doc: correct omission of author credit for Translator 101
From here on, we would need patches to be explicitly sent on
release-3.7 for the content to be included in a 3.7.x release. Please
ensure that you send a backport for release-3.7 after the corresponding
patch has been accepted on master.
Thanks again to everyone who have helped us in getting here. Look
forward to more fun and collaboration as we move towards 3.7.0 GA!
