I am wondering if we should even let the command be sent to self-heal-daemons from glusterd.

How about
06:20:10 :) ⚡ gluster volume heal r2 info healed
Command not supported.

Instead of 
06:20:10 :) ⚡ gluster volume heal r2 info healed
brick: brick-1
status: Command not supported

brick: brick-2
status: Command not supported
