[Gluster-devel] Stale NFS file handle, then EINVAL

I can confirm this on Linux too, could happen with renames of files
creating link files with different gfid.  So rm -rf returns ESTALE for
those files while deleting the directory.

Works when you attempt the second time. I guess it heals itself.
