You might wanna try the mainline-2.5. I had similar issues with the 2.4 
branch but not so much with the 2.5. The 2.4 might not be supported 
anymore soon (or even now since last patch was while ago). As far as I 
know both 2.4 and 2.5 are progressions towards the glusterfs 1.3 final 
release.
