Cause: 
Previously cluster.choose-local was enabled in RHHI so that reads are served from the local replica as opposed to being served from across the network by remote replicas.

Consequence: 

But our tests indicated better performance with the option being disabled. One of the reasons for this is better distribution of reads across the replicas.
