Pranith,

To enable o_direct I turned performance.strict-o-direct on and my
network.remote-dio was disabled by default. 

performance.quick-read: off
performance.open-behind: off

are two options which I tried as part of troubleshooting exercise with Krutika
and Raghavendra.

I am reopening this issue.
