Verified this bug using the build : glusterfs-3.8.4-2.

Issue is not seen with below executed steps:

1) Created a replica volume.
2) Enabled the debug messages for glusterd 
3) killed shd 
4) check the glusterd log for the errors reported, No reported errors are seen.

Moving to verified state.
