You could take a statedump of the glusterd instance with the following command:

kill -SIGUSR1 <pid of glusterd instance>

With that the statedump will be generated in /var/run/gluster with the name as
glusterdump.<pid of glusterd>.timestamp

Hope this clarifies the confusion.
