Cause: 

When a brick process dies, BitD tries to read from the socket used to communicate with the corresponding brick and if it fails, BitD logs the failure to the log file.

Consequence: 

This may result in log file being filled with lot of log messages about the failure in reading from the socket and lead to log file growth faster.
