Verified with RHGS 3.1 nightly build ( glusterfs-3.7.1-9.el6rhs ) with the
following steps,
0. Installed RHGS 3.0.4
1. Created a 2 node 'Trusted Storage Pool' 
2. Create a replicate volume and started it
3. Upgraded one of the node to RHGS 3.1

'gluster volume status' - on all the nodes works well and there are no issues.
